A big check will make a big impact for some kids and families in the Granite State.
In a collaboration with New Hampshire Chronicle's Home at Last series, owners of a Manchester Wendy’s are donating over $67,000 to the New Hampshire Foster and Adoptive Parent Association.
The check, the largest sum to date, was presented at Wendy’s on Second Street in Manchester on Tuesday morning.
“We are totally dedicated as an organization to the concept that every child deserves a loving home,” Larry Wiley, Wendy’s Franchise owner, said.
“We put this money to fabulous use. Families are so grateful,” Mariellen MacKay, executive director of the New Hampshire Foster and Adoptive Parent Association, said.
Some of the money will go toward driver education programs and winter clothes for children in foster care.
