In order to become a foster parent, you will need to complete:
- Home Study
- 21-hour course entitled FACES classes https://cwep.granite.edu/?page_id=7
- Criminal Records Chec
- Central Registry Check
- Home Fire Inspection
- Home Health Inspection
- Medical Information Forms for each family member in your home
- Home Study
If you would like to learn more about becoming a foster parent, contact the New Hampshire Division for Children, Youth and Families at: 603-271-4711 or 800-852-3345 ext 4711 or contact through the website at http://www.dhhs.nh.gov/dcyf/adoption/contact.htm. The DCYF Central Intake can direct you to your local resource worker and provide you with the additional information that you will need to become a licensed foster parent.
