There is a big need for more CASAs. Talked about the role of CASA in the case and courts.
Catherine Meister spoke about the NH DCYF process to adoption. Talked about the different paths a case may take and different timelines. Catherine handed out helpful guides on the court system and timelines. Talked about Title VI adoption subsidy – all children adopted from foster care have Medicaid under this. However, NH does not give a cash stipend except for in special circumstances. Catherine answered questions from foster parents about mediated adoption and that process.
